CRO-MAGS Frontman Schedules Book-Release Party; Event To Include Live Performance

June 8, 2008

Former CRO-MAGS frontman John Joseph will take part in a release party for his autobiography, "Evolution of a Cro-Magnon", on Thursday, June 19 at The Delancey (168 Delancey, between Clinton and Attorney) in New York City. The event will include a reading from the book by John and a live music set featuring John and a star lineup rocking through classic songs from the CRO-MAGS, FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS and more. In addition, there will be vegetarian catering available through John's Krshna Temple and a DJ set from Sergio Vega (QUICKSAND). Admission to reading is free but a $5.00 donation to see the live music downstairs goes to benefit food drives that John organizes with his Temple. Party starts at 8:00 p..m, reading is at 9:30 p.m., live music at 11:00 p.m.

A traumatic childhood in foster homes was just the beginning of John's evolution. Before fronting one of the most important bands in the underground punk scene, the CRO-MAGS, John faced homelessness, addiction, betrayal and insanity. Still, even his success couldn't save him from a relapse that set him back to square one rock bottom. "Evolution of a Cro-Magnon" is a raw and unapologetic autobiography about his life. Consider yourself warned.
